FNT (Friday Night Thing)

What is FNT and who is it for?

FNT stands for Friday Night Thing. It's a weekly club for anyone aged 11-14, held at Magdalen Road Church every Friday, 7.15pm to 9.00pm. Everyone's welcome - you don't have to come to church regularly.

What happens at FNT?

A lot of fun! We aim to get to know each other and God better through activities, games and looking at the Bible. At the end of each night, we have some food – crisps, snacks, or cakes to help replenish energy levels. (If you can bring £1 with you for food, that'd be great, but don't worry if you can't – you won't go hungry!)

Why do we bother looking at the Bible?

To find out about God and Jesus, we need to look at the Bible, so every week we look at a bit and think about what it means for us today. Don't worry if you've never done that before – we promise it can be fun and that we can learn LOADS doing it!

This term we’ll be looking at some of the things that characterise Christians and Churches, and seeing what they’re based on in the Bible, and in the way that God treats us.

What else do I need to know?

Every week there'll be games, activities and opportunities to relax, chat together and pray for each other. We've also got a couple of social nights lined up. Overall, it should be a great term! Things kick off at 7.15pm every Friday, and we do ask everyone to arrive by 7.30pm at the latest so that the evening can get underway. Any other questions, just give us a ring, or catch one of us on a Friday night and ask! Hope to see you there...
