Churches working together in Oxford to lift people out of debt

Find out more about plans for a debt counselling centre to open in Oxford in June 2014 and how you can get involved.

Christians Against Poverty are a national charity, working across the UK to lift people out of debt and poverty. They offer free debt counselling through a network of 239 debt centres based in local churches. They’re halfway towards setting up debt centres in every town in the UK, and there are exciting plans underway to establish a centre in Oxford supported by a number of different churches working together.

At MRC, we are one of five official partner churches alongside St Clements Church, St Matthews Church, Cornerstone Church and Emmanuel Church supporting the vision. Partner churches are committed to giving financially and to raising up volunteers from their church families who will get behind the vision in prayer; give financially, and volunteer time to help out on a regular basis and visit homes across Oxford.
